Jonathan Djanogly takes part in ‘mash in’ at The Red Brewery in Great Staughton

16th February 2015

Jonathan Djanogly was invited by the Red Brewery in Great Staughton to take part in a ‘mash in’ to produce a promotional beer which he named ‘MP’s Brew’. The beer will be sold locally from March by The Red Brewery and 25p from the sale of each bottle will be donated to Jonathan’s chosen charity, dreamdrops children's charity.

Dreamdrops fundraises for the Children’s Unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital – Holly Ward – which provides care for children, and the Special Care Baby Unit, Huntingdonshire’s only neo-natal unit which cares for premature and sick babies.

The brewing and pub sector is a dynamic part of our local economy. In the Huntingdon constituency we have 89 pubs, 2 breweries and 1,454 people employed in the sector. This amounts to a total contribution of £30.4m added to the local economy.
