Read Jonathan Djanogly’s letter to constituents about the Highways Agency’s pre-application consultation for the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme.
Re: A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme
As you will know, I have long been campaigning for an improved A14. This week, the Highways Agency launched the pre-application consultation for the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme. The consultation will run until Sunday 15 June.
The proposed scheme extends from the existing A14 at Ellington to the Cambridge Northern Bypass at Milton. It includes a new bypass to the south of Huntingdon, junction improvements at Brampton and the widening of the A1 from two to three lanes between Alconbury and Brampton.
The Highways Agency is very keen to hear from as many people as possible about their views on the scheme. Accordingly, even if your village or town is not affected, but you are supportive of the scheme, for instance if you have had enough of the traffic on this road, I would strongly encourage you still to write in.
Consultation responses can be submitted either by completing the questionnaire via this link: www.highways.gov.uk/A14CambridgetoHuntingdon or by sending your comments to Highways Agency, A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement, Woodlands, Manton Industrial Estate, Manton Lane, Bedford, MK41 7LW.
Let’s get the A14 moving again!
